On April 8th, 2024, a subsidiary of B. Riley Financial disclosed that a few days before a “threat actor gained unauthorized access to certain of [the company's] file systems”. Targus, the subsidiary, took proactive measures to prevent the intruder from having continued access to their systems. Those “containment measures” resulted in business disruption but the company reported that, ultimately, they do not believe the incident will “materially impact the Company’s financial condition or results of operations taken as a whole”.
